What is March for STARS?
March for STARS plays a crucial role in the ASA, where students come together biannually to raise money for STARS Air Ambulance. Fundraising typically spans the month of March, as well as various other events throughout the year.
2025 Fundraiser Results
The 2025 STARS Air Ambulance campaign was a huge success! Fundraising ran throughout the second semester, beginning on January 2nd with the first-ever STARS Frozen Genetic Sale. This online auction, hosted on DLMS Farmgate, featured 74 lots of purebred cattle genetics and industry service credits generously donated by students, alumni, and guests impacted by STARS Air Ambulance. Managed and marketed by the student body, the sale raised an incredible $101,000.
In addition to the auction, several other events, including the annual exec auction, Calcutta bowling, the Winter Mixer, and other fundraisers, helped push the campaign even further. Altogether, we raised an outstanding $130,000 for Stars Air Ambulance.

Traditions
Annual exec auction
- Raised $22,500 in 2025 from this event alone
Calcutta Bowling
- Bowling teams are auctioned off and compete to win first place, while the other half of the prize money is donated to STARS.
Calcutta Winter Mixer
- Teams are composed in a draft, auctioned off to the highest bidder, and then hit the ice to win the tournament and prize money.
